About City of Arabia
City of Arabia is a mixed-use district in Dubailand owned by the Ilyas and Mustafa Galadari (IMG) Group. Gulf News described the original plan as a 20 million sq ft retail, residential, commercial and entertainment development designed for about 40,000 residents, with the Mall of Arabia, the canal-side Wadi Walk community and a cluster of high-rise towers as its main parts.
The district sits on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, called Emirates Road when City of Arabia was first planned and renamed in 2013, near Global Village. Majan lies opposite. Most residents travel by road, so check the current RTA network and announcements before relying on public transport.
The first phase to open was IMG Worlds of Adventure, an indoor theme park of about 1.5 million sq ft with zones themed on Marvel, Cartoon Network and dinosaurs, which opened in 2016. The National reported in 2013 that residential construction had restarted, with Wadi Tower then about 90 per cent complete. The Mall of Arabia was placed in a later phase of the master plan.
A new wave of residential projects has been announced. In June 2026 BEYOND Developments unveiled The Yards, a masterplan of 1,560 one- to three-bedroom apartments arranged around a one-kilometre green spine, starting with Arancia Yards, three low-rise buildings with 272 homes. One Development announced a residential project here in 2024. These projects are off-plan, and BEYOND had not published a handover date at launch.

Why Invest in City of Arabia?
City of Arabia may appeal to buyers who want new-build apartments in Dubailand next to a major leisure attraction, and who are comfortable buying into a master plan that is still taking shape. Much of what is on offer is off-plan, so judge each project on the developer's published specification, payment plan and construction progress rather than on the original master plan.
Direct Deal UAE does not predict prices or promise rental returns. With off-plan homes in particular, compare the price you would pay against the rent finished apartments nearby achieve, expected service charges and one-off costs such as the DLD transfer fee. Our RERA-licensed team (ORN 43954) can walk you through current options; call or WhatsApp +971 58 114 4230 about City of Arabia.
