Dubai South is the government master developer building one of Dubai's most important growth corridors. Launched in 2006 by the Government of Dubai (originally as Dubai World Central, rebranded Dubai South in 2015), it is a 145 sq km master-planned city built around Al Maktoum International Airport — set to become the world's largest airport — and the largest single urban development project in Dubai.

Dubai South is structured as a fully integrated city of eight districts: Residential, Aviation, Logistics, Business Park, Exhibition (home to Expo City Dubai, the legacy of Expo 2020), Golf, and Humanitarian. It is designed for a population approaching one million and hundreds of thousands of jobs, in direct alignment with the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan and the D33 economic agenda.
